Overview
Primal Overworld populates survival biomes with prehistoric dinosaurs, apex clan bosses, and specialized hunting gear. Explorers discover dangerous canyons, harsh ravines, and new dinosaurs across prehistoric lands.
Getting Started
Adventurers craft the Primal Guidebook from a Book and Feather.
Hunters craft the Primal Dinosaur Guidebook using Small Dino Hide, Giant Bone, and a Book.
The Primal Survival Guidebook is crafted from Gunnera and a Book.
Hunting Weapons and Combat Gear
Hunters assemble the Tranquilizer Dart Gun from Dinosaur Feather and a Stick.

The Dinosaur Tooth Dagger deals 6 damage, while the refined Dark Tooth Dagger deals 10 damage in close quarters.
The Dark Dinosaur Sword deals 9 damage, and the Dark Large Bone Club deals 7 damage per strike.
Taming and Riding Mechanics
To tame a dinosaur, players weaken it in battle and feed it Meat or Leaves. Once tamed, equipping a Saddle allows adventurers to ride and explore on their dinosaur companion.
Armor Upgrade increases dinosaur health, while Crossbow Upgrade enables firing arrows while riding. Chest Upgrade adds inventory storage for Triceratops.
Tamed dinosaurs accept tactical commands including Attack, Follow, Guard, and Stay. Riders press sneak to dismount from ridden dinosaurs.
Prehistoric Encounters and Apex Predators
Apex clan bosses include Empyrealisk with 250 health and 15 attack damage.
Apex theropods include the Tyranosaurus with 44 health.
Other formidable predators include the Spinosaurus and Allosaurus with 40 health.
Towering herbivores like the Brachiosaurus and armored Ankylosaurus browse with 40 health.
